Jim Gundelach, MBA, CPC
I have been involved in dentistry most of my life. It all started with my enlistment in the U.S. Navy in 1966. I was a dental technician (in the Navy this is a dental assistant/dental hygienist).
In 1970 I was honorably discharged and joined the SS White dental supply company, then started a crown and bridge dental laboratory being one of the first to obtain the newly established CDT (certified dental technician) rating.
Later I received a teaching credential from UCLA and supervised the dental technology department of Southern California College while updating the curriculum.
In 1984 I started Gundelach and Associates, a practice management consulting firm. Two years later my wife Susan joined the firm and we have been helping dental practices meet their goals ever since.
We take a hands-on personal commitment to the success of each practice and have a variety of programs and services available to our clients.

Susan Gundelach, MBA
Upon meeting me you will see that it's evident that I love being a consultant and coach to dentists, and equally important, to the team. I am driven to help dentists achieve their business goals with compassion, honesty, and integrity. I believe that dentistry
should help people look and feel their best and that the dentist and team should be well compensated for their effort.
I graduated from Dental Assisting School, earned my RDA, CDA and went on to teaching Dental Assisting at the same school.
Continuing my formal training I received an AA degree in Science, a BSBA degree in business and my MBA with many other postgraduate hours. I have both clinical and business experience in private practice.
I functioned as an RDA and office manager in both general and specialty practices. I have trained dental offices in dental computer software and joined my husband, Jim in consulting with private practices in California in 1986.

Joanna Gundelach
I graduated from the Diablo Valley College dental hygiene program in 2005. Upon graduation I received the American Dental Hygiene Association’s Leadership Award and the Diablo Valley College Outstanding Graduate Award.
I have been a contributing member of Gundelach and Associates since 2008. I am passionate about sharing knowledge and finely tuned teaching skills regarding the connection between oral health and systemic health.
I work as a full-time hygienist in the San Francisco bay area.
I also serve on Diablo Valley college’s dental hygiene advisory board.

Lexa H. Gundelach
I have been aiding Gundelach & Associates since 2012 with computer skills. While I interned for Gundelach and Associates I learned consulting skills and how the business works. I have created Power Point presentations used in training dental teams on practice management topics.
I completed my studies in Business Administration from Diablo Valley College in 2015. I will attend UC Berkeley HAAS Business program in the fall of 2015. While at Diablo Valley College I was President of the Honor Society and Mentor for Young
Entrepreneurs at Haas, UC Berkeley.
I also enjoy volunteer work as with Light the Night Walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Coastal Clean-Up Day and Foster A Dream program.
I participated in a foreign student exchange program to Italy.
